# Recolor > Upload one picture and describe the color change: a chair, a car, a headline, one flower. One 1K edit is 20 credits. Other parts can shift too. Recolor (https://imagecolor.app) is an independent web app for making and editing images with AI, built around the search “change color of image”. It is not affiliated with Google. Operated by Cicadas. Contact: support@cicadas.ai. ## How do you change the color of an image with AI? Upload one picture and name the object, the new color and what must stay. Nano Banana 2, a [Google image model](https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/image-generation), redraws it at 1K for 20 credits per edit. Our nine recorded recolors show useful results and limits: a car edit changed a shopfront, a dark background darkened the mug, tote edits added stitches, and shadows can be redrawn. Inspect the whole result before using it. ## Key facts - Maker and name: Google · Nano Banana 2 ([Google: image generation with Gemini](https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/image-generation)) - Provider endpoint: `fal-ai/nano-banana-2/edit` ([fal.ai: Nano Banana 2 edit](https://fal.ai/models/fal-ai/nano-banana-2/edit)) - Edits: Text prompts can “add, remove, or modify elements, change the style, or adjust the color grading.” ([Google: image generation with Gemini](https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/image-generation)) - Sizes at the API: 0.5K, 1K, 2K, 4K ([fal.ai: Nano Banana 2 edit](https://fal.ai/models/fal-ai/nano-banana-2/edit)) - Images per request at the API: 1 to 4 ([fal.ai: Nano Banana 2 edit](https://fal.ai/models/fal-ai/nano-banana-2/edit)) - Reference pictures at the API: Up to 14 ([fal.ai: Nano Banana 2 edit](https://fal.ai/models/fal-ai/nano-banana-2/edit)) - API price: $0.08 an image at 1K; 1.5 times that at 2K, 2 times at 4K ([fal.ai: Nano Banana 2 edit](https://fal.ai/models/fal-ai/nano-banana-2/edit)) - Watermark: Google says all generated images include a SynthID watermark ([Google: image generation with Gemini](https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/image-generation)) - On this site: One uploaded picture and a text instruction in; one 1K image back, in the shape you uploaded - Price on this site: 20 credits an edit Last checked: 2026-10-10 ## Pages - [Change color of image with AI](https://imagecolor.app/index.md): Upload one picture and describe the color change: a chair, a car, a headline, one flower.
